Working with Children... with the benefit of the Enneagram

As we observe and interact in our relationships, the Enneagram offers us a way to understand what is happening and how to best respond to it. In those relationships in which we have a leadership role, the Enneagram is an effective tool helping to make clear what is influencing both behavior and response. Our leadership roles often include children and young people (perhaps as a parent, a teacher, a relative, a friend) inviting us to help strengthen their awareness capacity and their problem - solving skillfulness. This does not require we type them, but it does require we know the Enneagram. Let’s talk more about the ways in which we can use our Enneagram knowledge to help those we are influencing to better interact in life as we take advantage of what the Enneagram has for us.

Sali Honess-Ondrey has spent twenty years as a private practice therapist and many years prior as a therapist in a variety of clinical based agencies. She now devotes her time to Enneagram training, coaching, and consulting. Knowing real change is not possible without honest self-awareness, she has found the Enneagram to be the most effective tool in promoting this crucial ingredient. Her newest project that she is very excited about is the creation and execution of Moving Beyond, an Enneagram Training and Certification Program, with the mission to equip trainers in under-resourced communities to bring the Enneagram to their people.
