A Map to Liberation: Using Object Relations to Release Our Fixations and Redeem Our Passions

Presence is the key moving up the Levels of Functioning toward Liberation at Level One. How can an Object Relations approach to the Enneagram help us in this journey up the Levels?

In this workshop we will review the Object Relations matrix to understand the internal dynamics that underlie the distinctive characteristics of each Enneagram type. We will then identify the patterns in the Hornevian sub-groups, also known as the Social Styles, and clarify the most productive path for each type in finding a balance with the three Centers of Intelligence. Using this framework we will explore tools for recognizing our personal patterns and learning to disconnect from the triggers that pull us back into our fixations and passions.

Belinda Gore began studying the Enneagram with Don Riso and Russ Hudson in 1990 and she continues as a student of the Diamond Approach with Enneagram writer and teacher Sandra Maitri. A former IEA Board member, Belinda is an IEA Accredited Professional with Distinction. Her book, Finding Freedom: Understanding Our Relationships Using Object Relations and the Enneagram, is a ground-breaking approach to Object Relations and the Enneagram and serves as the text for her training courses for coaches, therapists and Enneagram enthusiasts. Belinda is an Adjunct Professor at the Deep Coaching Institute – an Accredited Enneagram School through IEA.
